Turning 50…

Well, now that I have lived on this earth for half a century, I’ve been thinking a lot about my life and where I was 25 years ago compared to now. 25 years ago, I had been married for 4 years and had two babies. I was very fortunate to be a stay at home mom and even though at times it was extremely financially challenging I wouldn’t trade those years for anything. Fast forward to today I now have been married for 29 years to my very best friend in the whole wide world and our children are now adults who are succeeding at this whole adult thing!

For many years I joked that I really didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. I have been a librarian for the school district, a special education instructional assistant, I tried my hand in the insurance biz and most recently was our church parish secretary.

But now I believe I have truly found my niche. I absolutely LOVE creating charcuterie boards. I love that a small piece of me gets to celebrate with all of you! I love meeting new people and I love hearing their stories. My heart is happiest when I’m creating. I think that food is at the center of almost all of life’s moments and is really a conversation piece that brings people together. So I hope that in the last 50 years, I have grown not only in knowledge but in wisdom and I hope that I have brought people together through my creations and put a smile on their face.
